Artists studios for all the fine arts. The studios are on the two floors of the theater (the back peak of the roof seen here). Heat, water and WiFi are included in the rent.
LOWER LEVEL The lower level boasts a 9'3" ceiling and is entirely stone and concrete. There are nine windows, mostly measuring 3'x6', and ten columns. It is divided into several private studios ranging from 137 square feet up to almost a thousand square feet. Currently all of the studios are finished except for one enclosed room with 12' ceilings that I hope will become a photography and multimedia / presentation room and be available on a daily or even hourly basis, discounted for studio residents. There is an exceptionally large double basin stainless steel sink as well as a 3'x5' open area with a drain for working large pieces that require water.
The Lower Level is heated in the winter to 68 Fahrenheit and humidity controlled to 45% year round. I list available studios on Craigslist. If you are in the market you will find them there.
Entry to the Lower Level, gallery area. What every artist's studio building needs.
TLLE, one of the light (window) wells and TLLD, one of the smallest artist's studios with one of the biggest light wells.
TLLK, can have it's own sink, perfect artist studio for a photographer, no exterior light to throw the balances off. Plenty of space for a darkroom.
TLLA, smooth tiled floor and can have it's own sink. An artist's studio for textile or....
TLLG. This artist's studio has a homasote wall to make it easy to pin up whatever you want to look at in the moment.
Ground floor
More than 3500 sf of open space 54' wide and 60 odd feet long with a 37 foot peak. At the moment this is filled with sculpture, stuff from construction, 12 tons of marble and 40 years of collected stuff. I hope to get it put in order and make perhaps half of it available in 2019. It has served as my artist's studio for decades, I don't need it all though.
Eight huge windows let in the day. The red doors seen here will be replaced with greenhouse glazing for even more light. Skylights fill it with natural light during the day and metal halide lights keep the nights bright. Maple floors under it all.
The attic peak
One very special room seen here in the middle of work Under the peak of the theater there is a 12' x 35' room with a 22' peak and a private entrance. This studio is currently under construction and will soon have it's own toilet, a loft area for storage, finished ceiling, walls and floors and a ceiling fan. It already has one operable skylight high up, a window, and AC.
Marble working studio on the stage
Now has two skylights, new image coming soon!
A perfect artist's studio for a stone carver.
Two large air compressors, a gurney, 11 tons of marble... what more could a marble sculptor like myself want? Company of course. I would like to share my marble working studio with other marble carvers. Marble blocks for sale.
